Tucked into a coconut grove just 200 metres from Palolem Beach, LUMA Goa is a small yoga retreat centred around nine distinctive A-frame huts. Each has a king-sized bed, minimalist interiors, natural ventilation and an open-air bathroom for showering beneath the palms and sky.
Guests can simply book a hut or opt for a three, five or seven-night yoga holiday. Retreat packages include breakfast, unlimited daily yoga and one or more 60-minute massages, depending on the length of stay. Morning and evening classes span Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini and Yin, with meditation, pranayama and sound healing also appearing on the schedule. Everything takes place in an elevated, open-sided shala surrounded by tropical greenery.
The onsite Ayurvedic treatment centre offers traditional therapies including Abhyangam, Marma massage and herbal poultice treatments, alongside familiar deep-tissue and Swedish massage. Breakfast is served at Roots & Bloom, LUMA’s vegetarian and vegan café, with fresh juices, smoothie bowls, homemade breads and colourful plant-based dishes.
LUMA feels quietly removed from Palolem’s livelier side, yet the beach, cafés and shops remain within easy walking distance. Patnem Beach is around 20 minutes away on foot, while Agonda can be reached in approximately 30 minutes by road.
